Space
Party
To
infinity and beyond .....
Are the kids ready to blast off into an out of this world
adventure?
Get
creative with your child(ren) to make some brilliant party
invitations e.g. in the shape of a rocket or shuttle. Add
space phrases such as "launch date", "lift off time" and "return to earth" as the
party dates and times. Set up Mission Control,
making decorations for your party room could
be lots of fun. Cut out large planet/moon shapes, glue on some
textures e.g. sand, scrunched up tissue, and when dry paint them all
different colours (if you can get some glow in the dark paint, even
better). Dangle planets, rockets, stars, space ships etc
from the ceiling for a great effect. Stick up some glow in the
dark stars. Craft
Activity Ideas: All
space rangers need a Foamie
Door Hanger. Let them get creative using
peel and stick spaceships, planets, rockets,
aliens, spacemen, stars etc. Use alphabet foam or glitter glue pens to
write your name or message on your door hanger. KidzCraft

To
keep the kids busy at the beginning of the party whilst everyone is
arriving, let them decorate their own Party
Bags using space stickers and felt tip pens or
alphabet foam to write their names. Once created at the beginning
of the party they are ready to fill with space treasure prizes from
the party games. Team
party game ideas: Moon
Rocks through hoops - make your own moon rocks out of
cut up sponges, dab them in paints and dry. Cover hoops with
black card with stars painted on to make it look like the 'Black
Hole'. Divide the children into teams i.e.. Astronauts,
Aliens, Space Rangers and set a time limit to see which team can
shoot the most moon rocks through the Black Hole. Countdown to
finish! Giant
Space Puzzle Draw
and colour 2 large different space pictures on thick card e.g.
Rocket, Alien. Cut both into approx 12 pieces each.
Number each piece on the back (not in order but just so the kids
know they have found all the pieces). Wrap them in scrunched
foil. Hide them around the room, house, garden? Split
the kids into 2 teams. Start the clock and the kids have to
find and collect all the pieces and then arrange them on the floor
into the picture. First team to create their picture wins.
Countdown
to
